In this 4-week course, I'll provide all the essential tools to get started with looping, including ideas for crafting bass lines, accompaniments, and percussion, as well as mastering the loop pedal itself.

What will you learn?
You'll master the basic functions of a loop pedal and learn how to create seamless loops effortlessly. (If timing your loops has been a challenge, I'll show you an easy way to get it right it every time!)
You'll discover how to build layered accompaniments using various harp sounds, articulations, and techniques
You'll learn to create groovy bass lines that will work as the foundation of your pieces.
I’ll teach you percussive techniques that add rhythm to your music.
You will learn how to arranging your loops, so they work together musically like the instruments in a band.
Along with each video lesson, you’ll also be sent lesson notes, including sheet music of all musical examples, summaries of the takeaway points and creative exercises.

What equipment do I need to take full advantage of this course?
You can use your acoustic harp with a microphone or pickup, or an electric harp.
You will need a looper pedal, which can be any model from any brand (If you need to buy one, I can hightly recommend the BOSS RC-1 (https://amzn.to/47i2nFB) or the LEKTATO (https://amzn.to/4e11yTU)
You’ll need a simple amplifier to hear your music (I use this one: https://amzn.to/3AZm2ho)
Are there any prerequisites to be able to follow this course?
The only prerequisite is to be able to play your harp to at least an elementary level! You don’t need to know anything about harmony, composing or improvising to begin, and sight-reading won’t be a barrier either.
More advanced harpists can use their technical abilities to take the concepts as far as they want to go.
Is this course limited to any particular music style?
This course will give you the elements you need to compose your own loops with any rhythm and any style you want. I will give you demonstrations in many styles, and you will be able to take each concept and use it to create music in your own style.
How long are the lessons?
This course includes 4 hours of video lessons. The lessons are rich in content, and I encourage you to watch and revisit each lesson many times, pausing the video to jam with the concepts along the way.
Is this course appropriate for all sizes of harp?
All the concepts and examples can be applied to any size of harp as long as you have a way to connect it to your loop pedal. You will only have to modify the musical examples and adapt them to the range of your instrument.
Are the lessons recorded?
Yes, all the video lessons in this course will be recorded, so you can watch them and replay them as many times as you need from the comfort of your home at a time that is convenient for you. There is no requirement to attend 'live' if the timings don't suit!
