In Level 1 , We will be working on the foundations required to help you take the first steps to learning the harp. The course presumes no prior knowledge of the harp or music and is based in C major so you do not need levers. It is suitable for lap harps, lever harps, and pedal harps.
If you have some experience and are comfortable with basic tunes and triads etc, start at Level 2.
You will get access to 10 video lessons plus harp sheet music. The lessons all begin with a technical element, to build your skills, and then we will learn a tune. By the end of each course you will have learnt 10 tunes!
Listen, watch and play along. Pause and rewind the video until you are happy you have mastered each section. You have access to the course indefinitely, so don’t worry about falling behind - just take it in your own time!

Here are the answers to some of the most common questions I get about the courses:
If I choose the wrong level can I swap?
Yes! If you realise that the level you’ve chosen is too easy or hard for you, just get in touch and I can arrange for you to switch level!
How much time do I need?
Typically I recommend members try to carve out 2-3 hours each week to devote to the course. The lessons are 30-45 minutes each, and I’d then recommend 3-4 harp practice sessions. However, since the content is available for you indefinitely, keep in mind you can always go at your own pace. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and as long as you do a little bit each week, you’ll be able to create progress.
What happens if I am not happy with the program and what kind of guarantee do you offer?

Am I too old to learn the harp?
No! I’ve taught harp students in their 60s, 70s and even 80s! It’s never too late to learn a new skill!
