Making Music Composer Scheme

I am delighted to have been selected as one of 6 composers for Making Music’s Adopt a Composer Scheme. I have been paired with the Jubilate Ladies Choir and will be composing for them over the next year. You can read more about it all here:

Enterprise Music Scotland new commission

I am delighted to have received an award from Enterprise Music Scotland to support my composition/education project, ‘The Bonnie Swan’. Between January and April 2013 I will write a new composition for harp, electroharp, wirestrung harp and electronics, that also encompasses field recordings sourced from Tobar an Dualchais. The project will also involve delivery of a series of educational composition workshops for school children across Scotland. More information about my project will be posted as the piece progresses.

New solo album in progress

I’m having a wonderful week in Edinburgh recording my next solo album with engineer/producer Tim Matthew at Red October Studios.

I’ll be joined for a few tracks by two very special guests, Natalie Haas and Tim Edey.

More news to follow soon!
